What We Are Learning - Turquoise

On this page you will find information about our Turquoise class curriculum - updated throughout the year.

These floor books showcase our class learning and are updated regularly to give a detailed oversight into what is happening day-to-day in class. You can also find information about our daily reading lessons along with our termly spellings.

Reading

Each day, every child in Turquoise class will take part in a 45 minute reading lesson at the beginning of the day.

These will take the form of a VIPERS session or, for those accessing the scheme, a Read Write Inc. Fresh Start session.

In VIPERS sessions the children will spend time reading together before answering questions based on the VIPERS approach of Vocabulary, Infer, Predicting, Retrieve and Summarise. This approach aligns with the structure they will encounter throughout Key Stage 2 and also runs alongside our weekly VIPERS homework.
