Sapphire News

In October, Sapphire and Emerald class came together to share their writing. Sapphire class wrote some fantastic suspenseful stories, set in an ancient Maya temple. The children from both classes took turns reading their texts to each other and had an opportunity to ask each other questions about their topics.
In Autumn term, Sapphire class learned some simple notation which we used to play along with songs and improvise using recorders and glockenspiels.

In Autumn term we were lucky enough to have a number of workshops with the Redruth Highschool drama teacher. Through these workshops we learned to project our voices with intonation and worked to develop our listening, instruction following and team work skills.

KS2 Beach walk.

Sapphire class enjoyed our annual 5 mile walk from Scorrier to Portreath Beach. Some of the highlights from the trip was seeing alpacas, fairy doors and gnomes in the woods and snacking on blackberries along the way.
