Meet the Team

  • Miss Carly-Ann Clark

    Year 4/5 Teacher

I moved to Cornwall back in 2019 and have been a proud member of the St Day and Carharrack team ever since! I am originally from Manchester but Cornwall has become my home, I feel so lucky every day to live in such a beautiful place.

I am well-known around the school as the "arty" teacher and love all things art, craft and design. I try to bring creativity in to all that I do whether that be a lesson, redesigning our library into an underwater scene or planning a trip.

I strive to make my classroom environment a safe place where the children feel confident to share their thoughts and opinions, hopes and dreams, ideas and experiences. I love sharing stories with the children and they make me smile every day! My class ethos is centred around honesty and responsibility, the children are encouraged and empowered to be CHANGE-MAKERS as, "Even the smallest person can change the course of the future." J.R.R Tolkien. Children are celebrated for their individual strengths and what they contribute to our class team, our school and our community.

In my spare time I love to paint, it makes me feel calm and I really enjoy creating art for my friends and family. I also like to explore Cornwall with my dog, Romey. We love to roam beaches, coves, woodlands and trails in search of hidden gems. Most evenings you will find me with my nose in a book, as an avid reader I like to lose myself in stories and different worlds. One of my favourite things about being a teacher is sharing beautiful, inspiring and meaningful stories with my class.
