On behalf of the children, staff and Governors of St Day and Carharrack School it gives me great pleasure as Headteacher to welcome you to our school website.
I hope that the website gives you a taste of life at St Day and Carharrack Community Primary School, please come and visit us to experience first-hand the learning environment within which the children are succeeding in their achievements; the children at our school are always busy using their curiosity to develop their learning.
Children lie at the heart of everything we do. Every decision within school is made by first considering the needs of the children and what will enable them to achieve in their learning.
As a school team we value your involvement with your child’s education; parents are warmly welcomed as partners working together with members of staff to enable every child to be successful in all aspects of their learning.
Our school is committed to being actively involved in the children’s community. Many members of the local community dedicate their time to bring a wealth of skills, talent and knowledge to the children.
I feel privileged to lead a team of professional, talented and dedicated staff who delight in providing creative opportunities for the children to succeed.
I look forward to welcoming you to school.

TESCO prize won by Daniel.
Class 4 member Daniel has scooped the prize for the Tesco's "Design a Bag" competition. Representatives from both Tesco's Redruth and Camborne branches came to school to present the prizes. Daniel personally received £25 and a goodie bag and also won £500 for our school. On top of that he won enough of the newly designed bags to share with the whole school. Well done Daniel we are all so very proud of you!
